05:30 AM – Pickup from Thrissur Railway Station
Begin your journey from Thrissur towards Peechi–Vazhani Wildlife Sanctuary.
07:00 AM – Arrive at Peechi Wildlife Sanctuary
Reach the sanctuary and soak in the peaceful forest surroundings.
07:15 AM – Breakfast
Enjoy breakfast before the trekking experience begins.
07:45 AM – Trek Briefing & Trek Begins
After a short safety briefing by the forest guides, begin the guided trek to Moodalmala Peak through the scenic trails of Peechi–Vazhani Wildlife Sanctuary.
02:00 PM – Lunch
Enjoy a well-deserved lunch after completing the trek.
03:00 PM – Bowl Boating & Dam Visit
Relax with an optional bowl boating experience and visit the picturesque Peechi Dam. Bowl boating is not included in the package and costs ₹125 per person (optional).
04:00 PM – Coffee with the Team
Unwind with coffee and share your trekking experiences with fellow participants.
06:30 PM – Reach Thrissur
Drop-off at Thrissur Railway Station, marking the end of the trip.

FAQs
Who can join this trek?
Anyone with a reasonable level of fitness can join. Previous trekking experience is not required, but participants should be comfortable walking for several hours on uneven terrain.
Are beginners allowed?
Yes. Many first-time trekkers successfully complete this trek. Our trek leaders will guide the group throughout the journey.
Are meals included?
Yes. Breakfast, lunch, evening tea, and snacks are included.
Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options are usually available.
What should I carry for the trek?
We recommend carrying a small backpack, water bottle, rain jacket or poncho, trekking shoes with good grip, a change of clothes, personal medications, and a power bank.
Is there mobile network coverage on the trail?
Mobile coverage may be limited or unavailable in some parts of the trek. Please inform your family and friends accordingly.
What happens if it rains?
The trek operates during monsoon conditions unless weather or forest department restrictions make it unsafe. Participants should come prepared for rain and wet trails.
Are plastic water bottles allowed?
No. Disposable plastic water bottles are not allowed on the trek. Participants should carry a reusable water bottle. If needed, reusable water bottles are available for rent at the base camp.
What is the cancellation policy?
Booking payments are generally non-refundable. If the trip is cancelled by KeralaTrekking due to unavoidable circumstances such as extreme weather or operational reasons, participants will be offered an alternate date or a refund as per our cancellation policy.
What if it rains?
The retreat is designed to embrace nature in all its forms, including rain.
Certain activities may be adjusted depending on weather conditions, but the experience will continue as planned.
Are forest permits included in the package?
Yes. All required forest entry permits and permissions are included in the package cost.
Is there an age limit for joining the trek?
There is no official age limit from forest department side.
Keralatrekking recommended this trek for participants aged 10 years and above who are physically fit and comfortable with outdoor activities.
Though there is no official age limit, sometimes forest official comes up with unofficial restrictions due to sudden weather changes (eg: heavy rain, wind.. ). Keralatrekking can’t interfere in such cases. You will have act according to forest official instructions.
For minors, all responsibility will be for parents or gardien coming with them. Keralatrekking request you to take care of your kid yourself, and keralatrekking will not be responsible for anything happening during the travel.

- KeralaTrekking reserves the right to modify the itinerary or schedule based on safety and operational requirements.
