KeralaTrekking Photo Contest – Terms & Conditions

1. Organizer

KeralaTrekking (“we,” “us,” “our”) is the organizer of the Photo Contest (the “Contest”).

2. Eligibility

  • Open to residents of India who are 18 years of age or older at time of entry.
  • Employees of KeralaTrekking, their immediate family members, and any person professionally connected with the Contest are not eligible.

3. Entry Period

  • Submissions Open: 10th May 2025, 00:00 IST
  • Submissions Close: 29th May 2025, 23:59 IST

Entries submitted before or after the Entry Period will be disqualified.

4. How to Enter

  1. Follow @keralatrekking on Instagram.
  2. Post an original trekking photo on your public Instagram feed.
  3. Tag @keralatrekking in the photo.
  4. Use both hashtags: #KeralaTrekking and #KeralaTrekkingContest.
  5. Maximum 2 entries per person.

5. Entry Guidelines

  • Photos must be taken by the entrant and must feature a trekking or hiking scene in Kerala.
  • Watermarks, borders, or minor composite edits are allowed, provided content is original and non-offensive.
  • By entering, you confirm that your photo is your original work and that you have the right to submit it.

6. Winner Selection & Voting

  • The KeralaTrekking team will shortlist up to 20 entries based on creativity, relevance, and quality.
  • Shortlisted images will be posted on our website for public voting from 1st – 10th June 2025.
  • Public votes will account for 50% of the winner decision; the KeralaTrekking team’s expert judging will account for the other 50%.
  • In addition, 10 Lucky Draw winners will be drawn at random from all valid entries.

7. Prizes

  • Top 3 Winners: Exclusive KeralaTrekking Goodies + Feature on our Instagram & Website + Digital Certificate
  • Lucky Draw Winners (10): KeralaTrekking Goodies
  • Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

8. Usage Rights & Release

By entering, you grant KeralaTrekking a royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, display, publish, and distribute your submitted photos on our website, social media channels, promotional materials, and any other media. You retain full ownership of your images.

9. Notification & Claiming Prizes

Winners will be notified via Instagram Direct Message and announced on 12th June 2025. Winners must claim their prize within 7 days by replying to the DM with shipping details. Unclaimed prizes will be forfeited.

10. Privacy

Any personal data collected in connection with this Contest will be used in accordance with our Privacy Policy and only for the purposes of administering the Contest and distributing prizes.

11. Disqualification

We reserve the right to disqualify any entry or entrant at our sole discretion if the rules are violated or if the entrant engages in disruptive behavior.

12. Limitation of Liability

By participating, you agree to release and hold harmless KeralaTrekking, its affiliates, employees, and agents from any and all liability for any injury, loss, or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with the Contest or the acceptance, possession, or use of any prize.

13. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Kerala.
